How to FIX HRESULT 0XC8000222 While Installing .NET Framework

While installing .NET Framework at last completion screen if you get above Error HRESULT 0XC8000222

Follow this below procedure to fix After Restart your system


1: Click Start > Run.

2: Type cmd and press Enter.

Please run the following command in the opened window.

net stop WuAuServ

3: Click Start > Run Type %windir% and press Enter.

4: In the opened folder, rename the folder SoftwareDistribution to SDold.

5: Click Start> Run type cmd and press Enter. 

Please run the following command in the opened window.

net start WuAuServ
